Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University/ Institute as on 31st July 2026.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidate applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of the state (to be specified at the time of calling the applications). The test of local language will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination.
Age Limit: Age of the candidates must be minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.07.2026.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
# SC/ST: 5 years
# OBC: 3 years
# PwBD: 10 years
Duration of Training: Duration of training is of one year.
Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice posts consists of two stages: an Online Examination & test of local language.
Online Written Test (objective type)
An online object type written test of 90 minutes duration will be held as per below mentioned structure.

Test of Local Language
Candidate applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of the state (to be specified at the time of calling the applications). The test of local language will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as part of selection process. It will be conducted during the process of document verification. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprenticeship. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
